Madhuri Dixit

MadhuriMadhuri Dixit is an acclaimed Indian actress best known for her roles in the films 'Beta', Saajan' and 'Hum Ahain Koun'. ..!' Her career in the 1980s , and was a hit with her role in the film 'Tezaab' where she starred alongside veteran actor Anil Kapoor. She next appeared in the movie 'Dil' in which she shared the screen with Aamir Khan. She was born to the Mumbai middle-class family and began dancing as a child. She attempted acting as young but it wasn't easy. Most of her first films were unsuccessful. However, she eventually achieved success and became one of the most prominent actresses in the Indian film industry. Following her wedding she took a few months away from acting, before returning to the entertainment industry. Dixit was also an integral role in the movie "Gulaab Gang," which was a documentary about the struggles of Indian women. Dixit has been nominated for fifteen Filmfare Awards, out of which she took home eight. She was also presented with the Padma Shri award, India's fourth highest civilian honour. She is well-known for her work in the field of social service as well.
