Kristen Anne Bell is an American actress and performer born in 1980. Her birthplace was Huntington Woods and raised there. Bell is the daughter of Lorelei Frygier and Tom Bell. Her family ancestry includes Polish (mother) and German, English, Irish, and Scottish (father). Kristen realized her potential in the world of entertainment at a young age. She attended her audition in 1992 and got a role on Raggedy Ann, and Andy. Bell's mother introduced her to an agent before she was 13 and she got her first role for television and newspaper commercials. Now, Bell also begins individual acting classes. Bell had an uncredited role in the movie Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell attended Shrine Catholic High School where she was involved in music and drama club. The Wizard of Oz production in her high school earned Bell the leading Dorothy role. Bell then moved to New York City, to the Tisch School of the Arts. She studied musical theater there. In 2001, Bell left university to play the role of Becky on Tom Sawyer. The was the same year that she also had her first credit debut with Pootie Tang (2001), however, her performance was cut and her character was not shown in the credit sequence. Bell was featured in the Broadway revival of The Crucible starring Liam Neeson and Angela Bettis.
