Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Ellis Taylor, the American screen and stage actor and producer. Her most well-known work is as a film actress for her performances on the films Ray Undercover Brother (Ray Undercover Brother) and The Mentalist. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in African-American Studies at Brown University and also a Master of acting at the Tisch School for the Art New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is an American actor and producer who is active in the fields of theater, film and TV. She started her career as an actress in theatre but then proceeded to appear in many television shows, as well as independent and mainstream films. She came to prominence as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico as well as on BET's epic show The Book of Negroes for which she not only received praise from critics but also numerous nominations and awards including a Television Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Actress in a Film. In 1995, she made her acting debut in The Tempest as Ariel. On Broadway she's appeared on stage in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. She is most well-known for her roles in the films Men of Honor as well as The Caveman's Valentine The Express & The Help. Also, she is well-known for her role on ABC's crime-drama High Incident.
