Awkwafina

Awkwafina, an American actor and singer, began with humorous rap tracks dealing with issues related to sexuality and race. Her career expanded to Hollywood after she released an album of raps. Nora Lum is the daughter of Chinese as well as Korean parents from Forest Hills Queens. The trumpet was Nora's first instrument. Alongside classical music and jazz, Nora Lum began studying hip-hop in her teens. Following a focus on education, she graduated with a degree in journalism in university and also a women's study major. The focus changed towards music after she graduated. Her track in 2012 My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success on the Internet eventually landing on her debut album Yellow Ranger in 2014. In the year 2018, her breakout role was in Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. In June she dropped her EP "In Fina We Trust".
